Nicola Adedeji v. Corporation of London
Mrs. Adedeji, represented by Carolyn D'Souza of 12KBW, has succeeded in her claim of indirect sex discrimination, automatic unfair dismissal and unfair dismissal against her former employer, the Barbican Centre.
Mrs. Adedeji, a House Manager at the Barbican, had her request to work part-time refused by management, and following a lengthy ill-health absence, was dismissed in November 2007. London Central Employment Tribunal upheld her claims on 18th December 2007. The remedy hearing will take place in March 2008.
