Lincoln Crawford OBE speaks on behalf of the UK at the UN commemorations for the abolition of the slave trade

Lincoln Crawford OBE was invited by the UN to share in its commemoration of the abolition of the slave trade and speak on behalf of the UK. The event took place on 26th March in New York where Lincoln took part in a panel discussion on "The trans-Atlantic slave trade: Acknowledging the tragedy, considering the legacy", organized by the Caribbean Community Ambassadors' Caucus and the Department of Public Information. Lincoln is a member of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Advisory Committee on the Bicentenary Commemoration and has recently published articles in the Times and Counsel Magazine (March 2007) entitled “Am I not a man and a brother?” charting the legacy of the Abolitionists.
