PIBA Conference Resounding Success.
8-10 April saw the annual PIBA residential conference at St Catherine's College Oxford. 12KBW was heavily and weightily involved. As well providing the chair (Frank Burton QC) and two of the speakers (Andrew Hogarth QC and Susan Rodway QC) chambers also provided the after-dinner speaker, Simon Levene. Unfortunately it would not be appropriate to reprint his speech here - a true measure of its witty, amusing and clever content.
In addition, 12KBW provided by far the largest number of delegates of any chambers (27 out of a total of 220).
The feedback on the quality of speakers has been uniformly positive. The conference was equally successful as a social event, with members of 12KBW again very much to the fore.
