Whooping cough vaccine claim before the Vaccine Damage Tribunal
The Claimant, who is now 17 and therefore cannot be named because he is a minor, received the vaccine in 1988 at the age of 6 months. In order to prove entitlement it had to be shown that he is more than 60% totally disabled, as to which there was no issue, and that this severe disablement was as a result of the vaccine. Upon proof of entitlement, the single sum of £100,000 is payable under the Vaccine damage Payments scheme.
