On 27th January 2017 several members of 12 King’s Bench Walk will be joining BL Claims in a sponsored climb in order to raise money for Minstead Training Trust and Doctors for Nepal.

Our intrepid members will be mounting the climbing wall in Romsey as part of BL Claims’ attempt to climb the height of Everest in 24 hours. Every metre climbed by our members will be counted in our attempt to reach the massive 8,848 metre total.

This ‘Climb Everest’ event ties closely into the mission statement of Doctors for Nepal. The aim of the charity is to improve healthcare in rural Nepal by empowering students to serve as doctors or nurses in their isolated rural communities. The challenges of providing medical care in Nepal cannot be overstated, this charity provides vital means of meeting these challenges at a community level.

The Minstead Training Trust provides vital work training adults with learning disabilities. Their aim is to allow adults with learning disabilities to achieve greater independence, lead fulfilled lives as full citizens in our society. The work that they do is tailored to the specific needs of the individual and is carried out by an experienced and dedicated workforce.

Representing 12KBW in the climb are William Audland QC, Max Archer and James Beeton.

12KBW would value your sponsorship in the climb, both charities conduct vital work that needs your support. Please click on the links below to read more about the event or to donate to the supported charities.
