George White has been offered a position as a Judicial Assistant to the Justices of the Supreme Court, having succeeded in a competitive application process. He will be assigned to Lord Carnwath and Lord Sumption from September 2017 until July 2018. In this role he will assist the Justices in connection with applications for permission to appeal, substantive appeals and extra-judicial speeches. George looks forward to using the experience gained when returning to his practice next year.
